My work has appeared in newspapers, magazines, and various books. I've had a passion for photography since the first time I picked up a camera as a child. I learned to develop black and white film and had my own dark room when I was a teenager. Five years ago, I switched to digital photography. I was enamored by the immediacy of the medium and continue to be amazed at its many applications. I still am. To me, it's all about the details and telling the story -- with vivid images.
Digital photography allows me to create better images for my clients. I've been working as a freelancer since 1987 and have honestly enjoyed every minute of it. I hope to continue the effort for years to come. I am a member of the National Press Photographers Association. When I am not photographing a wedding or other special event, I am usually working on a book, article, or photographs for publishers. I also offer photographic art and maintain a stock photo image database. I also contribute digital images to stock photo agencies. My work is distributed and used worldwide. My philosophy on photography is to be present in the moment, be experimental, and certainly work with you to get the exact shot you're looking for. I accept on location assignments only. I use high-end Nikon digital photography equipment and bring to any project the latest in post-production techniques. I am also affiliated with skilled, national digital laboratories.

I accept editorial, event, and wedding assignments in Pennsylvania, northern Maryland, and Delaware. My main service and travel area includes Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Lebanon, York, Gettysburg, Baltimore, Wilmington, West Chester, Reading, King of Prussia, the Poconos, and the greater Philadelphia area. I contribute regularly to stock image databases, with worldwide distribution.
I am a published photographer, author (over 30 books) and journalist, and I am based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. My photography specialties are weddings, landscapes, architecture, news, editorial features, photojournalism, publicity and public relations, and Americana.
